The Opportunity:

Reporting to the Project Manager, you will be responsible for the overall delivery of the safe, high-quality, on-time construction of large & complex projects for Buildcorp.

 

Key Responsibilities (not limited to):

  • Take the lead role in the day-to-day management of onsite safety ensuring safe work practices are being followed
  • Ensure Quality compliance on all projects
  • Planning, programming and site management - Understands and complies with Buildcorp business systems.
  • Manage the overall activity of project supervisors, subcontractors and site labour to the project plan, project drawings and specifications.
  • Ensure high level of communication and teamwork through direct communications and on-site meetings with site teams and clients.
  • People Management and Leadership – manage and coach staff effectively, leading the site team in achieving project and individual goals. Ensures the team understands and complies with Buildcorp business systems.

Desired Skills and Experience

To be considered for this role you will have the following: 

  • In-depth knowledge of legislation, rules, regulations and standards relating to building sites (e.g. industrial relations, HS&E, Workcover, local government etc.)
  • Solid understanding of project planning, materials handling and programming (particularly in relation to delivery to the program) Understanding of tasks and activities of a wide variety of building trades
  • Ability to manage providers within agreed contracts
  • Attention to detail
  • Proficient in ASTA
  • Ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications Ability to manage and coordinate union activity on site
  • Ability to design a site-specific Induction
  • Well-developed ability to lead, coach and motivate large and complex site teams
