Job Description
The Opportunity
We are looking for exceptional Project Leaders to manage a range of new build and large refurbishment projects ranging from $20m to $100m in project value.
Reporting to a Construction Manager, you will be responsible for delivering safe, high quality & profitable projects from award through to completion. This will require that you:
Build People as well as projects. You will be the Leader of a dynamic, high performing Team who will require your support and guidance to perform to their potential
Create a supporting environment which engenders Teamwork, Fair Play, Passion, Preparedness, Creative Thinking & Continual Learning
Ensure policies, procedures and responsibilities are followed and completed by all project staff
Produce comprehensive project programmes which identify and mitigate construction risk, and maximise productivity
Lead a team comprised of Contract Managers, Senior Contract Administrators, Contract Administrators and Cadets to administer the head contract and procure and administer subcontracts
Lead a team comprised of Site Managers, Project Supervisors, Project Engineers and HSE Coordinators to deliver technical builds in line with project goals
Proactively manage stakeholder relations

Strong understanding of construction techniques and building processes, particularly in technical areas associated with new build and heavy refurbishments
A demonstrated ability to lead pre-construction teams will be an advantage. Many of our project are secured and delivered through “Early Contractor Involvement” arrangements, partnering with repeat client in the early stages of design.
In-depth knowledge of regulations and standards (e.g. Codes of Practice, Industrial Relations, HSE etc.)
A strong understanding of head contract and subcontract administration
Excellent construction planning and programming skills
Strong project financial reporting skills
Proficiency in construction software such as Jobpac, Procore and Asta Powerproject (or similar) is an advantage
Appropriate qualifications (with a preference for construction or engineering degree and/or a building related qualification)
