The Opportunity
We’re seeking an experienced Contracts Administrator to join our New Build team in Sydney. This is a hands-on role for a proactive and detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced, team-based environment. You’ll be responsible for managing all aspects of contract administration across significant commercial construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and oversee contract administration on a new build project
Prepare, review, and execute contracts in collaboration with project team, internal and external stakeholders
Ensure compliance with contract terms, manage variations, and mitigate risks
Lead negotiations with subcontractors and suppliers
Provide advice on contractual obligations and commercial strategy
Administer project finances in collaboration with the project team
Mentor and support junior team members
Maintain accurate documentation and reporting
Drive continuous improvement in commercial and contract management processes
About You
You're a commercially savvy professional with a strong understanding of construction contracts and a collaborative approach to project delivery. Keen to learn with a positive team working attitude.
Skills and Experience:
4+ years as a Contracts Administrator or Quantity Surveyor in construction
Experience with projects of varying value and complexity
Advanced proficiency in project financial tools
Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills
Demonstrated leadership in mentoring junior team members
Knowledge of contract law, relevant codes, and standards
Preference to have experience using; Jobpac & Payapps
Qualifications:
Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Law, or a related field
Postgraduate qualifications in Construction, Property, or Law (desirable)
