Job Description

 

The Opportunity

We’re seeking an experienced Contracts Administrator to join our New Build team in Sydney. This is a hands-on role for a proactive and detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced, team-based environment. You’ll be responsible for managing all aspects of contract administration across significant commercial construction projects.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee contract administration on a new build project
  • Prepare, review, and execute contracts in collaboration with project team, internal and external stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with contract terms, manage variations, and mitigate risks
  • Lead negotiations with subcontractors and suppliers
  • Provide advice on contractual obligations and commercial strategy
  • Administer project finances in collaboration with the project team
  • Mentor and support junior team members
  • Maintain accurate documentation and reporting
  • Drive continuous improvement in commercial and contract management processes

 

About You

You're a commercially savvy professional with a strong understanding of construction contracts and a collaborative approach to project delivery. Keen to learn with a positive team working attitude.

 

Skills and Experience:

  • 4+ years as a Contracts Administrator or Quantity Surveyor in construction
  • Experience with projects of varying value and complexity
  • Advanced proficiency in project financial tools
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills
  • Demonstrated leadership in mentoring junior team members
  • Knowledge of contract law, relevant codes, and standards
  • Preference to have experience using; Jobpac & Payapps

 

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Law, or a related field
  • Postgraduate qualifications in Construction, Property, or Law (desirable)
