Job Description

About the Role

 

Reporting to the divisional HSE Manager, you will work closely with project teams, subcontractors, and key stakeholders to proactively manage risk, support incident prevention, and continuously improve HSE performance on site.

 

  • Lead proactive risk management activities, including emergency planning and incident prevention
  • Conduct regular HSE inspections, audits, and compliance reporting
  • Review and manage Safe Work Method Statements
  • Support incident and near-miss investigations and reporting
  • Share HSE alerts, lessons learned, and safety communications across the project
  • Assist with the implementation of environmental and quality management systems
  • Deliver HSE training, site inductions, and toolbox talks
  • Engage with subcontractors to promote compliance and positive safety behaviours
  • Support return-to-work and injury management processes
  • Prepare monthly HSE reports, dashboards, and compliance reviews

 

About You

 

  • Demonstrated experience in HSE roles within construction
  • Experience supporting high risk work environments
  • Strong knowledge of State and Federal legislation, regulations, and codes of practice
  • Proven ability to build trusted, influential relationships at all levels
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Proactive, resilient, and comfortable working in a dynamic project environment
  • Relevant qualifications in Safety Management
