We are currently seeking a reliable and organised General Hand to join our growing team. This is a hands-on role responsible for the efficient management of materials, hardware, stock levels and warehouse operations to ensure our factory and project teams have the resources they need to deliver exceptional results. You'll be joining a collaborative and supportive team committed to quality, safety and continuous improvement.
Job Description
The successful applicant will be required to perform the following duties:
Purchase Orders / Hardware Control
Receive deliveries and cross-check against Euroline and supplier invoices
Record received materials in Excel tracking sheets
Monitor and follow up on back-ordered items with suppliers
Store hardware in designated locations
Distribute hardware for specific jobs and maintain sign-off records for issued items
Stocktake
Conduct weekly stocktakes to ensure sufficient stock levels are maintained to keep factory operations running efficiently
Board Allocation / Control
Receive deliveries and cross-check against Euroline and supplier invoices
Organise the shed according to incoming materials
Update the Bargstedt system with incoming boards
Record received materials in Excel tracking sheets
Monitor and follow up on back-ordered items with suppliers
Check stock levels of boards, laminates and edging materials for the factory
Forklift Operations
Load and unload delivery trucks
Empty factory waste bins and manage bin change-overs, including general waste, recycling and cardboard
Maintain an organised shed and yard, including empty pallet storage
Coordinate the collection and management of cover sheets
To be considered for this role you will have the following:
Current Forklift Licence (essential)
Previous experience in a warehouse, stores or manufacturing environment
Experience working within the joinery, construction or manufacturing industry will be highly regarded
Strong attention to detail and accuracy when receiving and recording stock
Basic computer skills, including experience using Microsoft Excel
Ability to manage stock levels and maintain organised storage areas
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to work independently and prioritise competing tasks
Commitment to maintaining a safe and clean work environment
