Job Description

 

Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders on a variety of business problems, building trust through structured, clear and impactful analysis of data.
  • Operate in a lean team environment and lead the data lifecycle from data collection, storage and integration to analysis and insights, modelling and building AI applications – Utilising the Domo data platform.
  • Apply technical expertise in quantitative analysis, experimentation, and data presentation to develop strategic recommendations that help solve business challenges.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of our data warehouse — with a focus on data governance, consistency, quality, and integration.
  • Design and build machine learning models and large language model applications to support business needs such as risk prediction and performance monitoring.
  • Assist the delivery of AI-powered solutions that integrate with existing systems and work with business teams to identify opportunities where AI and data science can drive real impact.

 

Desired Skills and Experience

To succeed in this role, you will have the below skills:

  • Proficiency in SQL AND another data manipulation programming language (e.g. Python, R)
  • Demonstrated ability to tell stories with data and use visualisation tools (e.g. Domo, Power BI, Tableau, R-Shiny etc.)
  • Capable of applying a variety of statistical concepts (e.g. regressions, A/B tests, clustering, probability) to business problems and applying the most appropriate approach, adapting as requirements change.
  • Capable of communicating data analysis into well-written content and identifying trends
  • Ability to advise and partner with business leaders to communicate insights, influence strategy, and drive data-informed decision making.

Ideal candidate will possess the below:

  • Completed a certificate or degree in statistics, mathematics, computer science or similar
  • Demonstrated experience in data science or related fields
  • Experience with Microsoft SharePoint, iOS devices/apps and custom-built applications is highly regarded.
  • Experience using Domo - Data and AI platform, is a bonus
  • Experience with large language model (LLMs), including prompt engineering, fine-tuning, responsible AI practices, and implementation and optimisation
